That…is good for the immune system?

colorful-music-note-clip-art-4cbg6gkcg ‘beans, beans, the musical fruit,

the more you eat, the more you toot,

the more you toot, the better you feel,

so eat your beans every meal!’

That catchy tune has a story behind it…the reason that beans make you toot is because of the fiber in them.  Releasing gas (or tooting) is really good for you because it is a sign that you are eating foods that feed the good bacteria in your colon. Gas is good, smelly gas is not…the trick that I use is to eat lots of green vegetables high in Chlorophyll or take a Chlorophyll supplement to stop from stinking.

One of the best things you can do for your immune system is to eat foods that are high in fiber.  A major source of fiber is found in fruits, vegetables and beans. Vegetables and beans would be the best because they have less sugar than fruits. All the different types of veggies are important though so make sure to eat a wide variety .

The immune system really starts in the gut and is linked to the health of your digestive system.  The Standard American Diet (SAD) is high in refined and processed foods and low in fiber which may be linked to higher chronic disease occurrences.

Why is fiber so important for your immune system?

  • Helps with digestion so you feel less bloated
  • Helps with weight loss
  • Speeds up and slows down your digestive system when needed
  • Removes unavoidable toxins from your body

Look at you, talking about farting! That’s my partner!! What a great post. Chlorophyll, huh? Does Spirulina have that in it?

    • Spirulina and Chlorella are the best for chlorophyl supplements. I personally use Chlorella and love it for when I eat things that are going to make me stink (mainly dairy). The fun thing is that my cat loves them too! So I take about 10 and give him about 3. It makes his cat box not smell as bad too. Dogs love them too 🙂

      • I am familiar with Spiru-tein, its a pretty good product. Though I believe its more of a vegan protein than a good sours of Spirulina. From my knowledge it when mixed it up it was not green…Am I right with that statement? If it had enough Chlorophyl to make a difference in the stink the whole shake would be green because Chlorophyl is a very strong colorant. Hince why plants that have a lot of chlorophyl are green.

I have a chlorella product in my store if you are interested. I am not sure if it is on my website yet because I am in the process of redoing it 🙂 Send me an email or give me a call and I can send it to you.
